How do I add items for sale to my reservation page?
Using the items for sale tab you can add items to the system. Once you’ve added at least one item for sale to the system, you can then link that item for sale to a reservation page. When editing your reservation page, select the items for sale you wish to offer on that reservation page.
Can I set the system to ask the guest how many of a particular item for sale the guest wishes to purchase?
You can either set the item for sale to be added only once or you can set the system to show the guest a drop down quantity selection field.
How many items for sale can I have?
You can add as many items for sale to the system as you need. You can link different items for sale to different reservation pages.
How can I sell packages through my reservation page?
We consider packages to be a type of an item for sale, just with additional settings. For example, when a package is selected the price of your rooms can be increased or decreased by set amount or a percentage change. To sell a package, you just need to adjust the settings to meet your needs.
What do you suggest I set the settings to for something like a Honeymoon package, which includes meals, flowers, and three nights lodging?
First you probably want to decide whether the guest has to select an exact number of days for this package. If so, you would set ‘If nights equals 3, then set room price to $0’ and the other night settings would be set to don’t allow (no less than or greater number of nights allowed). This works well when you have a set package price which includes the room price. If your room prices vary greatly it may be better not to include the room price in the package, or consider something like giving a percentage discount off the room nights (such as 10%) which would be a further incentive for the guest to select the package.
Can I limit the availability of packages and items for sale to certain date ranges? Such as just offering a ski package during only the winter months?
Yes, you can specificy between which dates the package shows up. If your guest searches for start and end dates to their reservation completely within the dates of the package, then the package will be visible on the reservation page.
