- Fees -
Fees abound, from the cost to get setup, to 3% for OTA transaction, to Credit Card processing fees, to add-ons just to support your basic business needs, all adding up to a large monthly sum. Fees should be simple, understandable and affordable.
- Service -
Software vendors need to provide the tools to help you get your job done quickly and efficiently, whether that is through the use of online FAQs and Videos, emails or phone calls. Not hearing back from your software provider for a week should just be unacceptable. You have better things to do with your time.
- Customers -
That's just the thing, we don't think that you should be a Customer, as this implies a Customer vs. Vendor relationship. We think that we should be Partners in this, helping each other reach our goals together. There is much more power in working together than working against each other.
A little bit about ReservationKey
We've been around since 2007, quietly building our business to best support our customers. We are happy about what we've been able to accomplish over the past 12 years, but we think that we can help more customers. Up until recently we have grown primarily by word-of-mouth, with one hotel owner/operator telling another about our system. Our customers continue to tell their friends in the business just how much they like our system. This is the most effective means of marketing since most of us generally trust our friends, and generally more so than we do any brand or company. Our approach has also allowed us to take the time to build a quality product while at the same time keeping costs low since we spend very little on marketing. We are looking to change this just a bit since we feel that more customers should be aware of what we have to offer. You probably know someone that uses our system and you can ask them about us. If you don't, just ask us and we'll tell you which of our customers is in your area.
Our Philosophy
We also wanted to take a moment to talk about our how we approach what we do. First, we don't think that there is a system on the market that is all things to all customers. While we work towards this end, it's just not practical for us to think that we can support every business situation, but we still want you to be successful. If we don't think that we can meet your needs, we will let you know.
Secondly, part of our success is to make sure that we can provide you with the tools and skills that you need to run your business. We can't run your business for you, so we give you the time and tools to make sure that you are ready to support your business. If you're not successful, we're not successful.

The Avela Boutique Hotel, located in Sayulita, Mexico, is a unique combination of modern and traditional Mexican styled rooms. This is a high-end, adult only hotel that allows the guest the space and time to relax and unwind. The prefered method for getting around town is to rent a golf cart for your stay, making it easy to get to the beach and restuarants.

The Harkness Hotel, located in Idaho, has been completely remodeled in this 1906 building on the National Historic Registry. The rooms are so beautifully appointed that they won the 2018 Boutique Hotel Award for the Most Inspired Design of the Americas, with ceremonies held in London.
